Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-17
1. Services
Testopius provides freelance software testing services, including manual testing, test automation, QA audits, consultations, and related deliverables as scoped per engagement.
2. Engagements & scope
Every engagement is defined in writing (email or contract) with agreed scope, deliverables, timeline and price. Changes to scope may adjust the price and timeline.
3. Payment terms
- Quick sessions ($25–$200) are prepaid before delivery.
- Project work is invoiced 50% upfront, 50% on delivery unless agreed otherwise.
- Monthly retainers are invoiced at the start of each month.
- Accepted methods: bank transfer, Stripe, Wise. Invoices in USD unless requested otherwise.
4. Satisfaction guarantee
For hourly sessions and quick packages: if you're not satisfied with the first hour of work, it's free — email within 7 days of delivery. For fixed-scope packages, unused work is refunded if agreed-upon deliverables can't be met.
5. Confidentiality & NDAs
All client materials — code, credentials, roadmaps, findings — are treated as strictly confidential. Standard mutual NDAs are signed on request before work begins.
6. Intellectual property
Test scripts, reports, and documentation delivered under an engagement become your property upon full payment. Testopius retains the right to reference the engagement in anonymized case studies unless a stricter NDA prohibits it.
7. Limitations of liability
Testing reduces but does not eliminate the risk of bugs reaching production. Testopius is not liable for damages arising from bugs, downtime, or issues in the client's software. Total liability under any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement with written notice. Work delivered up to the termination date is invoiced pro rata. Monthly retainers require 30 days' written notice to cancel.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. Disputes are resolved by good-faith negotiation first; if unresolved, in the competent courts of Istanbul.
